Sunday I ran all over the ocean front of Virginia Beach looking for Cobia. I did not see any. There has been a lot of cold water hanging along the coast, it is 71 degrees in the Chesapeake Bay but it was only 60 degrees at the Chesapeake Light Tower.

The water was cold but I still jumped in and speared a couple spades, I wanted to come back with some fresh fish for dinner.

The visibility was still poor but I could easily see them after diving down a little.

There are lots of big Spade Fish and a saw a couple of Triggers and small Sheepshead as well.

The ride out was swelly but glassy, the wind started to pickup about the time I got back to Rudee inlet.

I took a couple short videos while diving, next time I will try and get one of me shooting.

I think the water is too cool for them to bite but I still like getting in the water this time of year.
