Michael Beals from <st1:state w:st="on">Wisconsin</st1:state>and Rick Schasse from <st1:state w:st="on">Texas</st1:state>, two hard-core,born-to-fish anglers, chartered the Happy Day Today along with theTopshotfishing team to do some sport fishing <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Fort Lauderdale</st1:city> <st1:state w:st="on">FL.</st1:state></st1:place> We had a northeast wind at 15-20 mph, seasrunning 4-8 ft. (a manly’s ocean) with blue waters pushed in to 60 ft. of wateron the second reef and flying fish (bait fish) being chased - a challenging dayfor fishing but not for these two veteran anglers.

We had one plainer down with a double hook Mullet strip anda pink and blue sea witch in front for a deep line. For surface baits we had 4 Ballyhoos and aBallyhoo teaser. We did not make it outto the sea buoy that sits in 120 ft. of water off of <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Fort Lauderdale</st1:place></st1:city> when our plainer rod bentover with a fish on. Michael was theangler and he brought in the Kingfish. From there we trolled east and west over the drop off catching moreKingfish and a couple of Barracudas. Icould see some birds working off shore in about 250 ft. of water – as I headedtowards there, we caught some Skipjack Tunas. As I was working the area, I came across a floating plank – a pot ofGold!!! Both anglers became very busycatching 11 Mahi Mahi’s, ranging from 5-16 lbs.

With a fishbox full of Mahi Mahi’s (tonight’s dinner), Tunasand Kingfish, it was time to head back to the dock at <st1:place w:st="on">Bahia</st1:place>Mar <st1:address w:st="on"><st1:street w:st="on">801 Seabreeze Blvd.</st1:street> <st1:city w:st="on">Fort Lauderdale</st1:city> <st1:postalcode w:st="on">33316</st1:postalcode></st1:address>.
