Sam,

I was shocked to read of Dad passing.

It was always fun to fish with him.

He taught me the proper knots to use, no no, it's five loops, not three! clear.gif

Every time I tie one I think of him.

And every time I tie something, it's one of his knots.

He was always willing to help, teach, and ignore our silly ignorance of stuff, of which he would then tell us the right way. :icon_wink:

I've cooked him a few burgers on my tailgate, he never cared how it was cooked or what was on it.

It's good that your kids got to spend what time they did with him.

I remember Samantha dancing at one of the bonfires when she was way smaller, Dad was sitting there in his chair smiling and beaming with pride at his beautiful granddaughter.

He got stuck with hooks, ate dry burned burgers and had Charkey take a bite out of his heel.

All through, he always came back with more.

He would fish anywhere for anything, ocean, pond, didn't matter.

He loved fishing with his boy, you Sammy.....

It's the little things that we will remember of those we loved.

Next time out, everyone cast a line for Dad as he sits back and watches over us all.....

(Sam, been trying to call you but it doesn't go through)
