Old aquasport

10 posts in this topic

Pressure washed this swim platform, and three coats of Teak oil, makes it look allmost new.......Trying to make this old 1987 Aquasport more respectable looking.Removed all the faded graphics, sanded and primed the hull with epoxy primer.Baffin Blue color on top, white bottom paint.I'll be installing a T-Top next......She really flies with the Yamaha 150........

This T-TOP is 2" aluminum. It is a bolt together top you can order online.Very well made. The welds are beautiful.Custom fabricated tops were out of my price range for such an old boat.Only weighs 108 lbs. Also available ,are rocket launchers and electronics box.All the hardware was included. Two men can install this in a few hours,I worked alone and used 2x4 props.Canvas was also included.I will be posting more photos as I continue with the Aquasport rehab.......

Thanks for all the kind comments. Due to the smaller size of my console, and the wire and cable troft that runs along the deck,Had to put a cross brace in the front for more stability. That really tightened everything up.Took a test run in the bay, with 3 ft. sea,it was fine.....Gotta make a canvas enclosure and that will give me some protection from wind and spray in the cooler months to come....
