New World Record Striper

6 posts in this topic

The catch has not yet been certified by the IGFA, angler Greg Myerson brought in a bass that supposedly pinned the needle of a Westbrook, CT, tackle shop scale at 81.8-pounds. This fish was taken from a boat at night. World record is pending at this time until IGFA verification.

What a fish, congratulations Greg Myerson!

This will probably be the next new world record but I'll bet there are larger fish out there to be caught! Here are several pictures of fish that were caught and released due to where they were caught. Chesapeake Bay during the spring trophy season that is catch and release only.
