is there a page somewere with pics of the fish that are commonly caught at ai that i can print out.half the time i dont even know what im catching down there.

i remember also buying the wife a laminated fish id thingy from the AI visitor center. at least i think thats where i got it.

another option is to go to the local asian market or a fish market. They will typically have lots of local fish and you can actually see them... Just remember fish can tend to change colors after they've died and/or been put on ice.

Ah, you were looking for species caught at Assateague, not FL, eh?

Ok, we have (this time of year) Bluefish, Skate, Rays, Croaker or Hardhead, Seatrout or Speckled Seatrout, many species of Shark, Flounder and Spot.

I have probably missed a few, someone else will get the rest.

There will always be a few others that happen to get caught that you don't normally see this far north, like Sheepshead and others.

You can find great info and pictures for them and any species in the world at www.fishbase.org.

Ain't that the truth. Who would have expected a cobia a month ago and now a red drum on AI this close to July!

florida ai, its all the same ocean. never know he might be a good caster :lol:
