mod to strong sse winds is keeping me from yaking baits:mad: ,,,I end up getting a huge bow in the line with this wind:mad: ,,,I need to fish!,,,whats worse is there is a possibility of a tropical depression forming south of the outerbanks and heading north,,,maybe more wind and of course, more rain, tomorrow.

I'll just go in my back yard, these falling rapids ought to hold some spawning salmon...

Maybe I'll look for catfish in the eddies...

27.5 inches now...

But that's just measuring in a bucket.

Believe me Coop, it's right.....

Oops, it just went up another inch, we just had another downpour.

It won't stop, been having thunder and lightning since Sunday at 5:30 pm.

Pretty much raining the whole time, big floods, the capitol beltway was completely closed because of a mudslide (first ever), cars washed away, etc.

Thse pics I took yesterday were of a tiny 5 inch deep creek turned into a 5 foot monster, and that was AFTER it eased up. You can see my 10 minute interval pics. It's unreal....

I unnerstand, impossible, but that's what it says....

Like I said, my unofficial measuring in a bucket was about 30".

I know the real measuring thingeys use about a 4" funnel into a one inch tube.

It I did that, I would get about 58 inches or so for my measurement.

Summin's got to be wrong, I can't believe that amount either. But if ya see the damage that's still happening.....

The river is supposed to crest tonight at 10pm, more problems to come.

I just looked at a DC tv station site and they say 4.22 inches yesterday.

Hmmmm, now THAT ain't right...
