Match The Hatch

5 posts in this topic

I dropped my jet ski at Crab Creek Boat Ramp in Lynhaven Inlet at 1030 hrs Saturday. I headed out of the inlet to some sporty conditions, 4-5 foot seas with some 7-8 foot swells. I went straight to the 1st Island of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and fished around the spine of the tunnel with live spot. I managed 7 Striped Bass, two of them were slot fish around 31 inches and the rest were below 28 inches. I kept my two for dinner as I have some relatives in town and I wanted them to have some fresh fish. The Stripers had some partially digested spot in them so obviously I was "Matching The Hatch". I was back at the dock by 1430 hrs and home and the ski and fish cleaned by dark. Dinner was Great! Here are some pictures ;
