Hey i've never had any braid on my rods, but I have borrowed a buddy's rod before(nice rod/reel with braid) for some lake fishing, and when i went to tie a lure on(using the clinch knot) the knot wouldn't hold. I ended up making two knots and it held. But what i was wondering is if there is a different technique of tying braid to lures/hooks/reels etc. I'd like to put some braid on my spinning reels to get some extra distance this year, thanks

Good knots for braid are the palomer, the grinner, uni knot, and for lures a rapala loop knot... My favorite is the grinner but the palomer is the easiest...
