Dixie Steve, BPS Andrew & I held the surf fishing class at the Refuge beach in support of National Public Lands Day 2009 and Back Bay NWR. We had 5 participants in the suds with surf rods in hand. Great time despite slow catchin' given the conditions. Few spot, a little black drum, and I broke off a small shark in the wash showing the class how not to beach a fish :eusa_doh:

After class I blind squirreled a 45" red on the "last cast" of a slightly used spot head just after I had taken my waders off :icon_surprised:

Andrew tagged the black and red, a small black tip he caught, and another guy's 32" red :icon_rr: For us technically challenged, I'll leave it to Sam or Steve to post the pics I sent them.
