will be vacationing in myrtle beach late sept

need some help regarding surf fishing there locations bait etc

interested in catch and release something to do mornings

slightly experienced

any help appreciated

Easiest thing:

You can do some tossing from the beach, just use any of the local cut bait.

Thanks for the response. Kind of looking for some locations. Dont want to get onto piers. Prefer surf.

have seen some things about Garden city pier but cant figure out if you can fish from the beach around pier or if you have to get on pier. Also sounds like M Beach st park might be good but again can you fish from the beach ?

You can fish from the beach away from swimmers and guarded areas.

I wouldn't fish too close to the pier, a fish can (and will) run through the pilings, cutting your line.

Are you going to be on the north or south end of town?
