Started my break from work on a good note. Decided to splash the yak for the second time this year with good results to say the least. Got out there about 830am and paddled out to the ships and set up for some spot for bait. got a few tiny reds and black seabass. put tags in em and let em go....paddled down to the southern most ship and anchored up and put a crab knuckled out on the TLD. 20min later i had a Ray powered kayak. Ever try getting your hook out of a big ole cow nose in a kayak?? not easy. Paddled back and reattached my anchor got a few nice flounder all under sized but fat little mofos. Picked a 32inch black drum on clam about an hour before i left. he was give some nice orange jewelry and relesed. All in all some of the most fun ive had out on the water.

I see the rays all the time in the shallows. I spook a few from time to time and they spook me sometimes too.
