I took a trip to Delaware Bay with my brother and father on Sunday. This one took a surf clam in 20' of water:

Nice fish! How did he fight? The ones we caught in the surf fought great. Good job.

I was using one of my striper rigs a shimano tekota 800 with 30# fireline w/a 6' Tsunami 20-50# boat rod, fishing clam on a 6/0 gammy circle hook. I just let the bait soak with the bailer open and the clicker on. The fish took the bait and the reel started to scream, which, I am still convinced is the best sound in the world! Because of the heavy tackle, it wasn't much of a fight, and I was able to horse it to the boat. It was my first catch using a circle hook, and I really like the fact that they hook 'em right in the corner of the mouth once you close the bailer. I think I'm sold on the circles now.
