The hickory shad and herring are really making a strong run in the upper Rappahannock. There is nothing like catching hickories and herring on zabiki rigs. What a blast!

Poor mans tarpon!!! Got to love em!!!!

Went out yesterday in the James and caught a few before 1'-2' waves started coming over the bow along with wind gust in the forties!!!!!!

BUT I think I got a new IGFA record Hickory on 20lb line class!!

Well I guess you have to take the good with the bad. I wanted to let you know that we are ready to book a trip whenever the yellow fin get thick in Hatteras. just let me know I'm on the way:glasses13:

does anyone know if the shad are hittin in the susquehanna up near deer creek yet? Or in the gunpowder

yes they have been up there for about 2 weeks now. everything came in really really early this year. Herring have been scarce. The rain screwed things up. But Shad are at the mouth of Deer Creek. Come see me at Coakleys pub when your done. Im a bartender there (Havre de Grace)
