Helped a friend out moving his boat to OI from Rudee this past weekend and we NAILED the HUGE BFT!!!! If you have never done this, NOW IS THE TIME!!! This type of fishery might not happen again anytime soon!!! They were everywhere! Our first hook up of the day we had all rods go down and got 4 fish to the boat all in the 120-150 pound range!! Every hook up there after was at least a double and we never went more than 10-15 minutes with out a fish on!!! We kept one nice 120lb class fish and released quite a few other LARGER ones!! Everyone on board had at least two fish released!!!

Capt Kevin Bremmer of Succesion Sportfishing did a phenominal job keeping us on the fish and the fish out of the running gear! We trolled a total of about 30 minutes!!! The rest of the bites were drifter bites when we were fighting the other fish!!! They were hitting EVERYTHING, islanders, sea stars, nakeds and sea witches!!!! We could see 5 or 6 fish in the 8-10ft rollers all day long!!! Let me know if you want to go, I can hook you up with a great deal on a charter!!! Enjoy the pics!!!

Keith that sounds deliche!!! I just got through eating grill tuna and broiled wreck fish along with steamed veggies and salad!!!

Hopefully the warm water will push in to Va waters or at least northern NC waters so you guys in VA get a good shot at putting your customers on them!!!

Ringer,

Its difficult to say how long they will be around.....all I can say is if you want it come get it......a few things you want to keep in mind........weather in relation to the size of your boat, most trailerable boats are not the best to have out in the weather we have this time of year....it would suck to spend all the time and money to make the trip only to not be able to get out of the inlet or not be able to fish the seas......You may be able to get a charter for a reasonable deal......some are around $1000 a day and do make up trips where you can reserve a spot for you and a couple others.......and then the Capt will fill the boat with others off a list...OTHER species are becoming readily available now....YFT, mahi and wahoo are BIG this time of year and are HUNGRY!!!

What ever you decide to do, have fun and be safe! Let me know if I can help you in any way!
