We had a breeze from the northeast about 20 mph. With the weather man promising it would calm as the day went on, the Rudee Angler and the Rudee Whaler headed offshore Saturday morning. We stopped on a couple of wrecks to start the day catching a few sea bass then headed off to the canyon to look for the tiles.

The water temperature was still a little chilly at 48 degrees. The first few stops fishing was slow with a lot of sharks. As the day progressed the fishing and the weather shaped up very nicely! Tile fishing ended up good with a few limits and some nice see bass mixed in. We also had a snowy grouper to show for our efforts.

We registered 15 citation tiles with the 2 largest at 17lbs. 8oz. and 18lbs. 8oz. and sea bass up to 4lbs. 8ozs. :icon_thumright:
