I am new to this site and relatively new to surf fishing. I am jacked up as I get ready for my first full season and I appreciate any advice anyone can offer.

Can anyone suggest a good tire inflator to keep in my truck? I've read that the 12V portables that clamp on the car battery are best, but what's a good reliable brand?

Welcome Aboard Atlantic Anglers:icon_salut:

sorry, can't add anything about portable tire inflators:eusa_shifty: I fish the surf down at Assateague Island in Maryland and they have an "air station" there for your use.....

Welcome aboard:hello:

Like Randy said there is an air station at AI and in Delaware, you will find an air station at almost every access ramp to the beach.

Great group of guys here, feel free to ask questions. The only advice I have for you, is to have fun surf fishing.

I like to carry one for those just in case times,

welcome - not a bad idea to carry one "just in case" anyone who fished the OC tournament with us can tell you - i didn't have the auto-deflators on the tires right and completly deflated the tires on our truck - we didn't have an inflator; luckily someone else did - we carry one now!

Yep I remember that.. It sucks when your friends get in to a jam and there is no way to help, and at that turny we were in OC.

What they said, I fish DE beaches and most entrances have air stations, I have a backup that I bought at West Marine, do not know how good it is but in a pinch when you break the bead it will work.
