I would put your guess of it being 36-38" pretty darn close.

The guy in the pic says its 42" at 40-50lbs.

Ha-Ha-Ha,,no way!

36 - 38 sounds good to me...no way that's 42" I've had my hands on plenty of 40"+ fish and they didn't look like that....And I really hope that thing went back in the water...

I would say less then 36" just look at the hand rail most rails are at @36", looks like he is holding the fish 6"to 8" off the ground.

What is the average length of a boga-grip? You can see both ends of the grip and when measured out against the fish I come up with 3 to just over 3 lengths of the grip. That seems to be the one thing in the picture in respect to the fish that can be measured. My guess would be 30"-36" tops.

and call me crazy, but I would be willing to bet if he is completely honest with everyone, that fish went in someones cooler.......what a shame tho.....:cwm10:

Don't be too fast on the draw...

Look at his height against the guy behind him. He is easily 3-4" taller.

I would hope to think the rails are close to standard fence height of 42". I think it's very possible that the Red is 42".

That's not that big of a fish anyway.
