Looking for a real good shark id book,,,I know bulls can look very similar to sandbars, and spinners have a black anal or vice versa, get the spinners and blacktips mixed up,,,there are also a variety of rays that are caught from the surf in the summer, speaking of rays, what the heck kind of ray is this :down1: that Sam caught?,,,anyway, I would like to find a good id book for sharks and rays,,,any suggestions?

I think Critter Gitter determined that ray is a rough-tail ray. :v:

The Apex program sent me a pretty good Id book with the kit. Good things to recognize are the teeth, top and bottom, dorsal fin placement and height, and interdorsal ridge or a lack thereof. One of the most easily confused according to them, is the sandbar and dusky. Maybe we can assemble an online ID, real picture version, right here.... :) 8)
