Friday Night: Partly cloudy. Winds from the W at 4 mph. Low: 45° F RealFeel: 47° F

now this will change but I think for the best  Will nost likey be a little colder on the beach since the data comes form OC's airport but I'll take it.. :)

For the absolute best "forcast", check it AFTER the weekend.

I guarantee you it will change once or twice more in two days.

Heck, this morning they said it would be sunny here all day.

Well, it's overcast now.....

Now they're saying it will get cloudy....

Sure, ok.....

Like I said it will change. Down here on the shore wait 10 min. and the weather will change, wait another 10 min. and it will change again ( just something you live with down here ) I get the extended weather forecast at http://wwwa.accuweather.com hard to say how accurate it is but it's the best you will get. But the best thing is to look at the radar that will get just as close as the forecasters will IMOA

yeah, now I'll wait till the last minute before making a call. I can't tell you how many fishing trips I've post-poned because the wx-people got the "forecast" wrong

Well, here is hoping for sunny, warm weather with a slight S/E wind and lots of food. By the way, who is bringing the food? :?:

Sam, I was thinking about bringing my big steamer pot and gas tank and probably make chili,,,since there may be a chance it might be a little cool, chili may provide some heat

Weather forecast WAS steadily improving - then I check it this morning - and more wind, more rain :censored:

Here's hoping the forecasters are as wrong as they usually are....

OY - I vote for sticking it out as I (and there may be a few others in the group) had to make arrangements weeks in advance ...but yes, it did take a turn for the worse - hopefully it will take one more turn (for the better) as time moves on... right now here's the marine forecast:

AFTERNOON.

FRI NIGHT

A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND TSTMS.

SAT

SE WINDS 15 TO 20 KT...INCREASING TO 20 TO 25 KT IN THE

AFTERNOON. SEAS 6 TO 7 FT. SHOWERS LIKELY WITH A CHANCE OF TSTMS.

SAT NIGHT

S WINDS 15 TO 20 KT...DECREASING TO 10 TO 15 KT AFTER

MIDNIGHT. SEAS 6 TO 7 FT. SHOWERS AND TSTMS LIKELY IN THE EVENING...

THEN A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AFTER MIDNIGHT.

:D If you are looking to catch fish,,,we have the right conditions,,,my best day/night of fishing was with this exact wind speed/direction and weather as the long as the wind is blowing straight into the beach,,,so who knows, could be good,,,hopefully no grass,,,looks like the wind wont get bad until the middle of the night.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Coop - been looking forward to going down for so long, I was pretty discouraged. Don't have a lot of surf fishing experience, but in the freshwater world I've also had some of my best days in nasty weather. Staying optimistic!
