Coop and I paddled out to some breaking fish off Assateague last year. You can go anywhere you want to. Most (99.999%) rivers and tribs belong to the state and you are free to play. There are very few places like up against the nuke plant and other intakes that are off-limits.

What areas are you up for?

Eastern Shore or Western?

Southern area or northern?

Give an general radius and species you want and we'll come up with something for you.

For tidal tribs and fresh, you'll need a fishing license. What State?

How far are you willing to travel and from what area?

The Nanticoke River near Vienna (on rt 50) looks interesting. I'd love to give it a shot some day. At high tide there are waterways all through the mangrove-looking areas to the south side of the bridge. You can also try the Choptank in Cambridge. During the last month, I have been all over the Potomac above DC, not worth a special trip from the Eastern Shore.....

Do a search for any parks along the Chessie Bay, they might be worthwhile.

If you want to fish the Choptank from the pier or at least check out the area.. pm me... we try to get there at least once a week in the evening - being it's two miles from the house we should fish there ALL the time!
