If ya'll want to be very specific and post links to other brand parts lists go for it and I'll compile it all in one msg or article and title it "Parts Lists".

I agree that was a great find and makes a great sticky!!

Steve -- its good to see that you have strayed from the darkside (Microsoft).

you don't see a signature like chmod +x .... everyday

That would make a great geek shirt.

Speaking of penn parts - anyone convert their SS reel to manual? I have the conversion kit, but haven't done it yet - would like to try using one for a while before I make the leap....

I am in no way advocating it's use in modern products....

About 20+ years ago we use to do the insides with white lithium grease.

I don't know how well the reels held up in the long run with it either....

Your best bet is to get whatever Penn sells since you are ordering parts anyway.

Remember though, there is oil and grease...

Don't know which one (or both) your particular reel uses.

I would just use some of the Penn Reel grease that comes wth every new Penn reel. if you dont have any, Im sure you can pick-up some at Doug Akes place, Ake Marine across from Sunset Marina:) they also do reel repairs on site and may have some parts if you need them now:D

Marine grade gear lube. No oil on the drag washers. I hear that penn lube sucks.
