Hit Dam Neck from 1:30pm to 6pm with the incoming tide.

Wind was from the SSE at 10, then picked up to 15+ which made it a bit challenging for bite detection at times.

Soon as I tossed out the bottom rig, I had a nice sea mullet on, but he came unbuttoned in the wash!

Tossed out again and got another nice hit, this time landing a nice sea mullet who promptly went in the cooler.

After that, I had one nice hit on a Big finger mullet head, but that was it.

Had fun hanging out with my son who spent the time hunting ghost crabs on the beach the whole time. Got home and he and I each had some fresh sea mullet for dinner.

Smoke from the fires in NC was bad today out there and thick. Was going to try to get out later today, but doubt it as the weather don't look so hot!
