Ok, so...

Does anyone know of any pet friendly motels in or near O.C.?

The FSK would be an ideal location but they do not allow pets.

The Dogtel on Rt 50 has a suite for one at $35 a night. An additional dog in the "suite" is $30 more. Latest check in is 7 pm and earliest check out is 7 am. Their # is 410-213-8188.

I'd rather have my dogs with me so does anyone know of any pet friendly places?

The parrot lagoon on 5th street accepts pets.. The Serene (12004 Coastal Highway) and Clarion (10100 Coastal Highway) also allow dogs... not sure of the rates but i know they allow them... i think the parrot lagoon is usually reasonably priced.. I have some family staying there in Mid-August and they thought the peak summer rate was fair.

Thanks Amanda...

The Parrot Lagoon is a minimum two night stay.

Clarion looks rather spiffy, wouldn't believe they would accept pets. Their prices start at $139.

The Serene near 120th st will do one-nighters.

Price was about $100 with pets, no size restrictions.

I was told the dog walking area is the parking lot, no grassy area available.

Long drive from Assateague but will have to do.

Stayed at the Serene on 121st st.

No size restrictions on pets.

Beach was a block away for walking the dogs.

Wawa is directly across the street for the morning shot of coffee.

The one night stay with pets was $111.00, I'm sure the rates will go up as of Memorial Day.

The drive from the inlet only took 15 minutes or less at 9:30 pm on a Saturday night, not bad at all.

Just your average room but clean.

Has a small fridge and microwave, no coffee maker.

Make a reservation by phone, declare the pets and check in by midnight.

Another good thing is it was relatively quiet, way up past the madness of downtown.

I'd stay there again.

Looked at the Parrot Lagoon. There really isn't much of anywhere nearby to walk the dog(s). Nearest park area was two or three blocks away and just a small strip of grass. The bay side is close but it is a wall, no direct access to the water. The places (they have at least 3 separate buildings) look old and rather shabby. Not sure if I would put my face on a pillow there. They have a two night minimum and the price is about the same as the Serene.

My money is on the Serene, not a bad place.
