Last week there were some reports of stripers caught both on the beachfront and inlets. Tog action has been very good as well. Chomper blues are also making a showing in the line up.

Feel free to post your reports here, fish or no fish.

I hope everyone has a great Thankgsgiving Day!

you can get around pretty good without 4 wheel drive engaged. Just air down a bit more.

There have been a couple times I forgot to put my jeep in 4X4 and drove all around the beach without even realizing it.

That works well for a Jeep but not an 8000+ lb vehicle.

I can run in 2wd near the water on the hard flat sand at low tide but that's it.

Ya'll need to start catching some pin striped suits. I had mentioned that it would happen this weekend or a day or two after.

Fished north edge of the ORV this afternoon into dusk w/ Jim(ffemtreed), his girlfriend and his brother.

I had a big hit on a head tonight shortly after throwing it out. Felt some pullage, some head shake - was really getting excited. Well - turned out to be a 30 inch, 10lb Blue!!! Not the A. I. Rock I had hoped for, but i'll take it!!! :evil6: Pics to follow after Jim either posts or sends them to me.

Couple other hits on heads that we missed - think they were other blues as some semi circle chunks were taken out when the heads were still there. Other than that doggies.

Oh - and as a follow up to my dead seagull catch this spring - I had another first - I caught a DEAD SKATE! :angry7:

Blue fish tonight for dinner - YUM!!!!

Still not givin up on my A. I. Rock - it'll happen someday....:icon_thumright:

EDIT: Added a pic we took back at the condo.

The wrist is finally healed up and I am over the "Cold From Hell" . I will be out at AI Monday-Thursday and will follow up with a report.

Sounds like a good number of big blues were caught on the DE and Ocean City beaches today.

After over a month of being laid up I am really looking forward to some pullage.

See ya out there and If you see a white 4Runner feel free to Say Hey.:icon_salut:

Well I fished this past week in short spans when I could get out. First day I caught a 33" rock. From then on it was doggies and skates. Gulls were bad too. three knockdowns and one gull landing.:cussing::cussing::cussing::cussing: Too much family around for me to fish as much as I wanted to. Anyway I am surprised I never hit a blue. Crabs were nowhere to be found. Chunks stayed on with no problem....as a matter of fact every catch was on a chunk. Not a bump on a head and I was fishing four rods, two head and two chunks. Hope to get back in a couple of weeks, we shall see.

Nice job Phil! Weird how different things can be in different areas of water- where I fished there were plenty of crabs - and had nothin other than doggies & skates hit the chunks - all of the few "real" hits we had were on heads.

Anyway congrats on the rock!

Fished with Trowpa for most of the weekend, he summed it up already. Doggies were out in force! occasional skate and not much else.

We did have a few good hits on Saturday late afternoon. Trowpa almost had his 1st AI striper, but it wasn't meant to be this weekend. Although the blue was a nice consultation prize.

Fished 4 hours on Wed. afternoon, 7 hours on Thurs., 5 hours on Friday with only a skate and no hits. Saturday was beautiful and we fished all day one 20" and one 25" rock no keepers, and three blues 11.5 lbs, 9.5 lbs, and 8.5 lbs, what a fun fight. Had fishing fanatic friends Harry and Anne with us all weekend. All fish were caught on finger mullet, some whole, some heads. Mid O.C. surf. Trying to send pics but I need to resize and can't figure it out.

Fished Assateague 12 mi down, yesterday and through the night last night. Wind outta' the NW at 30 dropping to 12 later in the evening. Skinny water, not rough at all, 8's held easily. Tiny Dogfish nibbles on a Bunker head. Tossed clams and came up with one Doggie on it.

No hits on Bunker.

It was a perfect fall night, bright stars and fishy looking water. Water temps feel about right.
