Um, waaaait a minute....

In order for generative resistance to apply with different metals they either have to have current running through them or be rotating at least 30,000 rpm (for an eddy field).

It's possible that they have something set up to generate the field, like a standard coil, I haven't seen the reels.

Horizontally opposed magnets with a wrap using the AL could do this.

I don't like the idea, any corrosion on the materials can hinder the operation of attraction, ie, salt, sand, grease....

This could lead to blowups in the line wrapping.

Your thumb is SO much easier to use.

I dunno', the more complicated they make things, under the guise of making the product "better", the more there is that can go wrong.
