Glad you are OK man!

I'll probably be over this weekend to take down the stand and fill the feeder and replace the battery.

Good luck!

Jumping in to help without thought of one's own safety is a quality few have. Randy, you are one of them.

Now, go back over and shove that tech and his torch INTO the fuel tank...

Oh, and weld it closed...

Cough it out, you'll be ok buddy, been there, done that...

I have seen similar instances except watching the car go up in flames. all it takes is one momentary brain fart and all heck breaks loose. i am glad you are ok randy, it could have been real bad. I hope the tech had a reality check.

Good Job! glad you are ok.

Thankfully that extinguisher you picked up was an ABC or BC(co2) and not one of those pressurized water extinguishers or the fire dept would be there still trying to put out your whole shop!

As for the black smoke you inhaled, don't worry about it. You'll cough up black stuff in the morning and maybe have a slight sore throat for a few days and you'll be fine.

The biggest risk you had was carbon monoxide poisoning from breathing in all that smoke, just as long as you stay away from more CO you can't get any worse.

Randy,

Heard two bays were lost with the tools and tons of smoke damage. You and everyone else are real lucky you were not hurt.

I was curious, from the time 911 was called until the fire company got there--- about how much time lapsed?

Also: Because you inhaled smoke, you need to grab Barb and spend an extra day out on the Assategue to breath in some of that Salt Air. Thats the only cure! (Just wait a bit until it warms up)

I know but its the truth, esp if you ask him:fucyc:

Skylar the response time was @10 to 15 min, we have a vol company @ 2 miles up the road and a "paid" station @4 miles down the road.

the shop is shut down and there are some pics of the aftermath up on Modular Depot, but again, I suxx at doing links:angry7:
