Anybody ever see one of these??? I saw one caught last year from the SURF on Fenwick Island...

Never caught one but have seen them swiming around piers and boat docks

Yep, Needlefish, note the needles in the mouth. :cussing:

That's a pretty large one though.

what do they eat?

I always see them swimming around docks and piers. They always seem to be in pairs also, any significance of that?

You Guy's are talking "GAR" Type fish...I saw this fish up close...If I didn't know any better, Looked like a baby MARLIN...It had bright GREEN eyes...Except marlin don't have teeth like that...

Yup, I think you are referring to a Gar. They do get quite big, but I don't know if they have teeth.

some people call them the "poor man's marlin" because they catch a lot of them off the piers in NC in the summer and sometimes they jump and tailwalk like crazy.
