Has anyone had trouble removing the sand from there engine compartment and if so whats the best way to get it out. Thanks

Look in your owner's manual for areas to cover or keep water away from.

Use a gentle stream of water to dislodge the sand. Wash it all the way down including the top of the trans or cross member, etc.

Other than that, forget about it.....

You'll find it years after being on the beach.

I found a good blast of air will dislodge a lot of the heavy stuff, then a little water should finish it up but like was said before you will never get all of it. trust me on that one. I was changing my oil and seen sand inside my frame rails on my truck, a little compressed air got the loose stuff but even months after, every time I hit a good bump I see sand hit the ground.
