Alrightey-then, let's start off with standard stuff.

For our tossin' sticks, what line do you like to use on the Blues and Stripers?

Brand?

Weight?

Color?

17lb suffix tritanium clear - Coop turned me onto it and I haven't had any problems with it breaking or nesting up on me. Great stuff :icon_thumright:

usually when shark fishing, for striper and drum and such, I will use 40#. in fact speaking of line I think it is time to re line my reels, I have not been out now in at least two months. I am getting the itch again real bad.

Looks like I need to dump the green ande 20lb and try the suffix this season, good reviews. I'll keep the ande on my spinners but anything that will help me get some distance without nests on my conventionals I'll give a shot.

While I don't surf fish much i really like Berkley ironsilk. Cast great, has good abrasion resistance and seems much stronger than it's rating.

Ben,

That ande is pretty good stuff also.

It's strong as hell, much higher then the rating...good for drummin. Probalby doesn't matter much for stripers.

all Ande here:

surf fishing/spin; 17# tournament yellow on a 4500 Baitrunner & 25# envy green on a 6500 Baitrunner

inshore rods: Ande 15# clear, 12# back country blue, 8# gunmetal grey

trolling rods; Ande 30# tournament green & 50# pink

also all my lines are color coded as you can see, so I can just look at the line and tell what lb test it is. then all my spare reel spools will have a different line weight on them, either up 1 or down 1

Randy that's too much work just cut your top and bottom line weight and use the one in the middle. LOL
