I am buying a camera for someone for Christmas. I have a Sony DSC-100 and I love it. She wants one that she can carry easier, she likes the slim line.. I went to the stores, read tons of reviews and I'm now going to do something I have never done before...

I'm buying an Olympus. Never had that brand before. The write-ups have been stellar over what I thought I was going to buy.

It's an Olympus Stylus 600 at Best Buy (on sale) for $269.

It is 6 mega pixel and slim with a big LCD screen, a rechargable battery with the charging cord.

Just thought a review might help others looking to buy a camera this size.

Olympus was the first digital camera I bought. I got it in late 99' and it worked like a charm for 4 years. I upgraded it and don't have the need for it anymore, but it was a great camera. :D

Olympus cameras are the only ones I buy naver had any problems with them and I've put them thur some rough times and they still keep giong.

Right now I have a Olympus Camedia C-720 ultra zoom, with 3 megapixel and it does a fine job any thing with more then that and you will be very happy with the quilty of the pics.

just my 2 cents

David
