  1. Well now that our 2 day summer is over and fall is here already, the big fish are starting to move in. Reports of October size bluefish are comming in from the beaches and nice size fish on the pier. Strippers are banging bunker chunks and heads, fish so far around the 40" range. Ill be out around 4:30 or 5:00 am tomorrow plugging the beach, lets see what the Saturday morning bite brings.
  2. Bluefish all weekend long, Cocktails to lunkers. awesome fishing Friday and Saturday. Sunday and Monday were a bit windy.
  3. Slow night last night small cocktails, a least the snapper action has picked up a bit to keep it interesting. Lets see what this weekend's storm brings. going out tonight at dusk. come on big fish... lets go...
  4. Raritan Bay is very funny when it comes to fish. This is the first year in the last couple of years that i have seen fish every day. the bite was on again yesterday late afternoon. Lots of bait in the water helps, spearing, peanut bunker and loads of snappers keep the nice size fish around.
  5. I guess with all of the storm happinings in the ocean, the fish took shelter in Raratin Bay. Great 3 days of fishing with 4-8 pound bluefish everywhere. Fluke were plentiful but short(not that it matters cause the season is over in NY). Weakfish off the beaches and some small sea bass and small by the pilings. I am Just waiting for the monster blues and Bass to start showing up...
  6. Great weekend on the pier, bluefish everywhere from 2-8 lbs. Fluke shorts and a weakfish too...
  7. Rough night last night, steady wind out of the southwest slowed things down but did not keep the fishermen away. A few small blues and a short fluke. There was one good run-off but no results.
  8. Nice Bluefish 3 to 10 pounds on bunker chunks. Weakfish are starting to move in slowly. Picking up keeper Fluke here and there.
