  1. Which one of these companies is preferred or most accessible for this area? I have come to the conclusion that this is a must. Most of my fishing is done in the Chesapeake bay Maryland south to Virginia. and some inshore ocean fishing out of Ocean city Maryland and Virginia Beach. __________________
  2. Has anyone used or know anything about those extendable out riggers, 15'-0 extended? Seacoast is one brand for around 200.00 for a complete set up to run 4 lines, sounds cheap . I would like them for trolling for stripers. Thanks again for your help
  3. I appreciate all your replies and safety tips:icon_thumright:. I will be getting geared up for a couple shark and tuna chunkin trips. Don't think this will be the year for getting all the offshore trolling equipment. Drifting and chunkin sounds more like my thing. With fuel prices might have to drift the hole way out to. 4. I purchased a 23'- 0 cc with a 200 hp Jhonson last year and would like to do some tuna and shark fishing in the ocean this year. Does anyone in thier rite mind attempt the Hot dog or the Hambone in a single engine boat? I can caryy 113ga. of fuel. approx how far is it to get tuna and mako?
  5. I don't think the hook is coming out it almost seems like they are not even hooked. my bait is torn to shreds like they are just holding on to it and not getting the hook. I let them eat for a little bit them just eases back until I feel it pull real hard and give a good pull and seems like fish on until they get to the breakers and they just let go. like enough is enough. The hook I am using is a no.10 and 12 mustad circle.
  6. Went out last night until around 11:00 only landed one big croker, but did get hooked up with three nice sharks but they kept getting off right around the breakers. watched Coop yak out a couple baits not to far from the horizon line. I took a chunk out on my Boigie board and had a hog on for a few min. but once again got off, I just don't get it. Heading back out tonight for a little more Boigie boarding. hopefully will have a yak in a couple of days.
  7. This past weekend it seemed as if the skate did not want to eat either

Alex and I did manage to land one Sand Tiger just after dark about 4 1/2 feet long awesome fight . there was a good run of kings about sun down we caught 18 in less than twenty min. kept 12 to eat. we fished until 12 am that was all my little guy could handle but nothing happened after the shark.
