  1. I agree with you Dave. This the way to go and not way a flag. When you're out infront of God and country don't attract attention.
  2. It only takes one bonehead to spoil it for everyone and we all know who it is. I've been fishing that north state for 10yrs and have been doing fine by not posting anything about my my catch just because of what is going to happen. There isn't a coastal state that wants to see or here about the big sharks being hauled in from the surf. I just want to thank him for the new regs. and I don't want to hear anyone defending him.
  3. It doesn't look like there is any great fishing in either state. I will be heading down to OC on 7/8 for 7 days. Due to the reports that I've been reading I think I'll stay In OC and Delaware to fish. In the past I had a least 5 to 8 runs to the beach to fish by now but because of the poor reports I stayed home. The only good thing is, regardless of the fishing report it's better to be fishing at the beach no matter what is being caught than siting at home waiting for the bite to start. I'm a die hard sharker and sooner or later all hell will break loose. I just hope I can get down to enjoy it. Good fishing everyone.
  4. Thanks guys. I knew there was reports that the cost of the permit was going up but I didn't know when.
  5. What's the current fee for an ORV permit for Assateaque?
  6. I just want to say thanks to the great job that Sam, Coop, Dave, Carkbait, Randy and everyone else does for this site. If it wasn't for you guys it would just so, so.
  7. Thanks Steve. I have 2 Penn 9/0 and and 6/0 that I have loaded with a split of braid and mono for when I use my yak. There are times when time is short and I don't make it to AI that I just use my spinning gear, I suck with casting reels. I fish most of the time in Delaware and northern Maryland and most times the surf is rough that I don't want to get beatup with the yak so I use my spinning gear.
  8. I'm lookig at the Nor-Fin OFS95 spinning reel anyone have any experience with this reel? It has a line capacity of 600yds of 20lb, 400yds of 25yds and 375yds of 30lb mono line looks like it might be a good sharking reel.
  9. Go to Tirerack.com and look up the tires you want. This site offers great test results and reviews on just about any tire made.
  10. If I'm loosing a lot of bait to crabs and skates I go with a float. It doesn't seem to be a problem with blue fish and sharks. The one big down side as trowpa pointed out is it does cut down on casting distance.
  11. I'm starting to like the sound of this reel more and more. Maybe 2 would be better than just one.
  12. Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear.
