  1. A friend of mine and I fished lewes canal today from 11am til 4pm(except for a 45 minute lunch break at Irish Eyes). 11 total flounder and 3 keepers 19 to 20 1/2 inches. We only made one long drift from RI to the bridge. We did catch one throwback when we tried slow trolling back towards the inlet but the winds had kicked up too stiff to maintain a good trolling speed so we gave up and made our way back to the ramp.
  2. fished IRB today, 1 keeper out of 7 flounder caught. Keeper was 21 1/2 inches. All fish caught on white gulp and minnows.
  3. fished friday, saturday and monday at 3r's. managed one striper on friday and monday and they were the only two bites I had. The fish I am holding was fridays @ 31 inches and the other one is the 36 incher I caught on monday.
  4. And here is my boring report. Trolled the beachfront north and south of IRI on friday evening without a strike, seeing a bird feed, or marking any bait or fish on the fishfinder. Saturday fished IR Bay and VFW slough and caught 5 throwback flounder, went out to dinner and bagged a whitetail doe about a mile north of the lifesaving station with my F150. Total catch for weekend 0 rockfish, 0-5 on flounder 1-1 on deer. Only damage to truck was I knocked the surf fishing plate off the front bumper.
  5. Congrats on the great striper Sam. I cant think of anyone who deserves that type of catch more than you for all the hard work you put in on here for the benefit of the rest of us. Not sure how you are gonna improve on the 2010 season from this start but I have no doubt you will figure out a way. Good luck the rest of the year and hope to see you sometime this summer.
  6. Fished the suds at 3rs this afternoon, ended the day with a half dozen spiny dogfish releases, two skate releases and 2 short striper releases all on cut bunker. The stripers were 25 and 27 inches and really skinny.
  7. Fished VFW slough yesterday and ended up with one keeper flounder and 5 throwbacks. We also had one little skate who was folded up so tightly into a ball I wasnt sure what it was until we unfolded it LOL.
  8. Fished with four other guys on Capt. Steve Cardano's boat 4/2/10 and with two guys on 4/3/10 at reef 10. We had a great day with a limit of 15 tog and one nice cod on the second but could not get anchored right on the third and only had one 17 inch tog for the day. Still not a bad way to start the 2010 fishing year.
  9. Havent been on the forum much since heart trouble in August and blowing out my knee in Sept. I am getting ready to finish preparing the 31 foot boat I bought last february and could use some help in exchange for some free offshore fishing time. I just had a knee replacement and wont be able to do some of the work I had planned on. I will be keeping the boat at south shore marina in indian river. I have a lot of experience in shark, tuna, dolphin, and wahoo fishing, trolling and chunking. I am looking forward to hopefully a good fishing season and making more good friends.
  10. I have 3 eight week old registered beagle puppies for sale. Parents are on premesis. All are tri-color females. Several field champions in pedigree. Asking $250 each. Very energetic and friendly. Started on housebreaking. 302-228-9316 or 302-228-9466.
  11. Fished the Lightship area yesterday for shark, Had a great day with 11 sharks boated, unhooked, and relased and two lost. Managed to get the hooks out of all but one fish. Strangest thing was when about a 100 pound Sandbar grabbed the pliers out of my hand and left me with just the handles sticking out from between the teeth. Managed to get the pliers back and unhook the fish. We had 8 Sandbars, 1 dusky, and 2 Hammerheads
  12. George here, 2004 grey F150 pick up with rear mounted rod holder. AMSA tag 430 on the front. Delaware surf tag also on front.
  13. I have been using an ambassadeur 7000 level wind this spring without any difficulty but have no experience without level wind. I am using a 30 lb. shock leader and have had no problems using a blood knot trimmed close with the level wind feature.
  14. Spring Fling 2009 was and experience of great weather, so so fishing, fantastic friendship, and good food. A few bluefish and a some throwback flounder were found. We were set up about a quarter mile past the bullpen. Here are some pics taken at the fling. In the top picture are ffemtreed, Jenna, Mrs. bluegilltobluemarlin, trowpa, and fishin'girl422. In the next pic I switched places with Mrs. bluegilltobluemarlin.
  15. Hey Morty, You stopped and talked to the group right next to the fling for a few minutes then when I looked up you was gone on down the beach. You were in a big blue truck with a ST Croix sticker on the back window right?
