  1. Holy big fish!
  2. Went trolling in the chesapeake today and picked up 2 about 17-18 inches. Also had a few knockdowns
  3. I bought a 20 foot trophy walkaround a few weeks ago and took the first fishing trip today. Fished outta chesapeake beach trolling storm shads, bucktails and a stretch 25. My wife got a new best 27 inch striper. We picked away at smaller fish and landed 6 total with a few knockdowns too
  4. Fished oc surf near the inlet may 18 for about 3 hours. Got 1st rod in with cut bunker and while baiting next one i already had a fish on. Fought it into the wash and saw what i think was a good sized ray that broke me off being rolled in a wave. Casted rod 2 and while rigging the other fish on again. Landed a 16 inch striper. Then bait steelers moved in. Moved a few hundred feet but nothing different. Got tired of that and started casting gotchas in the inlet and caught a 18 inch blue
  5. Never tried sand fleas before, gonna have to give them a go. I will be down tonight til sunday. I will probably fish oc beach near the inlet sunday morning
  6. Hows may going for everyone? I havent fished much but caught 2 stripers trolling the bay, 41 and 37 inches long.
  7. Wow dave!
  8. Way to go dave! I got out on the potomac on the 16th and caught a few stripers up to 22 inches and some cats up to 30inches. My brother caught one cat that was over 30lbs. This past weekend i got into some stocked trout
  9. It sounds like they are repealing that, or at least trying to. Im ready for a heatwave! I checked out a local river and found 2 inches of ice on it
  10. just found out I will be in Milsboro for the weekend and it has been frozen here so its hard to fish. I was wondering are there any chance of fish from the bridge or inlet or anything.
  11. never caught a black drum before. I caught my first fish of 2014 a carp. I followed it with 3 chain pickerel at 19. 22. and 24 inches. I finished the day with another carp
  12. what starts biting in March? happy new years and tight lines to everyone. Im hoping to get my 1st fish of 2014 this weekend
  13. Overview... 2013 started with my 1st fish, well first 2 fish on January 13. I caught 2 chain pickerel at Beachwood. Through January and February I caught more pickerel, making it my most productive winter of fishing yet. In late February, March and April I switched to fishing for stocked trout. The first few outings I caught a larger class of stocked trout giving me hope for a great spring but I soon found nothing but the normal sized trout. In April and May I fished the Patuxent River for white perch and shad. I did not have as much luck as in 2012, but still caught a good amount of fish. In May I then decided to try Bladensburg for snakeheads. I did not have any luck for them but caught crappie, bass and cats in the meantime. I saw a few but did not have any takers. On one of my outings I met a fellow P&S'er Stash trying his luck for snakeheads too. I tried for no luck into June before switching to my normal summer habits of panfish, bass and carp. I also went livelining for stripers and had an awesome time. I caught over 10 myself, keeping only the largest around 27 inches. In August my brother and I rented a boat from SPSP and caught spots, croaker, toadfish and blues. In the fall I mostly fished for cats in the Potomac and met Hueski. I caught plenty in the 18-24 inch range with my largest coming in at 35 inches and 21.5lbs. From thanksgiving on I have been chain pickerel fishing with limited success because I have seen more ice early this year than normal. I only managed to fish the OC surf twice this year, but caught stripers to 19inches, spot, skate, blowfish and a dogfish. I also fished in St Lucia while on a cruise. I caught a small barracuda and another angler caught a white marlin, one of the most awesome things I have ever seen. I also caught my first speckled trout in over 10 years. Overall I fished as much as I could with decent success. Can't wait to get 2014 started. I only fished a few new locations this year, including Bladensburg waterfront and St Lucia. I only caught a few new species too including a dogfish and toadfish. I met a few goals for this year too, catch a keeper rock and a shark in the surf. I'm still looking for that 40 inch rockfish and snakehead. I also want to catch something over 25lbs this year. I really want to try and fish the coast more this year. Tight lines in 2014!
