Default Beach trip

Hi,

My family will be taking a beach trip to Sandbridge and will have a boat that will be able to fish inshore/bay. We'll be there in late june and early july.

If anyone has anyone info on rigs what will be biting during that period of time also, I'm looking for good map of the lower Bay with marine structure landmarks if anyone knows where i might be able to find one that would be greatly appreaciated. Some of the areas of interest i have been looking into are Owl Creek area and work outward toward Rudee Inlet, Also Linkhorn Bay and Broad Bay, out toward Lynnhaven Inlet. Any information would be great.

Thanks

Out of Owl's creek - Fish the Ocean....CLT is about 12-14 miles out and will hold spadefish and jacks. Could have some spanish and maybe a king or two. Sight cast/chum for a cobia.

Out of Lynnhaven - Got plenty of structure with the CBBT...Sheep, spades, flounder, blues...Go anchor at bluefish rock or 9ft shoals for cobia.

What type of rig would you use when fishing the areas you mentioned?

It all depends on what you want to target!

Let me know what you want to target, and I'll shoot you an answer back!

Spanish, Blues, and flounde , I have some cousins that are younger and i think blues and spanish would give them a good tug that they could handle. But also, I would love to catch a cobia.

thanks for the help

Don't forget the Black and Red Drum - may as well go for the Chesapeake Bay Grand Slam! (You MAY be able to get that as early as July.)

Thanks for the encouraging words, but I think it will be a while before I'm up to THAT level!
