Week Ending 5-19 Report
Surf -
If you fish the beaches of OV, Chix, or Sandbridge expect to catch some blues during the day on cut bait and croaker after dark. Croaker has been pretty disapointing as I have not heard of many horse croaker caught recently at all. Small flounder and pups can be had at Lynnhaven Inlet on jigs or gudgeons. Schoolie rock are scattered, but can be found with the right conditions.
Pier -
Did not hear that much this week, but Blues can still be had on gotcha plugs, windcheaters and cut bait at times. Trying right before dusk with some moving water at Lynnhaven Pier would be your best bet. A few small pups at Little Island Pier.
Boat -
REDS, REDS, REDS! Red Drum action along the Eatern shore and 9ft shoals has been hot over the last week. Tog fishing remains decent along the rocks at the CBBT. Flounder can be had at either tunnels, but the bigger ones are proving a bit harder to get right now. It won's be long and more spades should show at the tower along with some sheepshead at the CBBT.
