Thumbs up James river area report 4-26-07 AM

Out going tide 56 degrees air, 55 water temp fished 6:30 am till 12:00 pm and left them hittin. We went out for what ever would hit. Light weight rods with Jigs tipped with fishbites. Small to Pony size Croakers ( small horse ones ) and a nice Grey. All got between the James river Pier and the School pier anywhere from 9 to 15 foot of water. Not much of a Croker fisherman but these lil doggies and light weight tackle made it fun. Could of filled 2 coolers this morning if we wanted to but only kept like 8 2 + lbs or bigger one grey for the guy I was with. Thanks again Dave had a blast.

Nice.. I love catching croaks on light tackle. Plus, the heads make great stripa bait. I don't mind eating croaker at all.
