I was able to find one thread on sol about it. The pic indicates that the weather was a little warmer than it is now, looks like a fall pic. Someone else further down was talking about "a large fish" being caught last year. I'm always skeptical until DRN says it's true.

Extrodinary claims demand extrordinary evidence.

Now, it IS true that MD DNR caught a 96 lb striper in a net some years back. Somewhere on the eastern side of the CB, doesn't count as a record 'cuz it wasn't hook & line.

I saw a link somewhere for the virginia pilot which is a newspaper. I believe it, they get bigger every year.

Oh I do believe it, sure do....

I just have a problem with these kind of things until it's official instead of a little drab here and there.

Like I said, that pic showed the guy dressed for summer, not the weather lately.

I also heard it was 5 miles out with a 3 mile restriction which means illegal catch.

One of these days the full story will be released by DNR.
