Post Va Beach W/E 4/7/07

Here's this weeks scoop:

Grey Trout from 16"-28" have been caught from OV Jetty, but due to the cold snap, that bite has ceased since Wednesday morning. Even the Boats that have been whacking them there are not picking up any now. Trout were hitting 4" Storms for the most part and it really didn't seem the color mattered too much once the went into a frenzy, but I had good luck with the 4" Pinfish color and others I saw were having better overall success with darker colors than light.

Did hear of a few small trout and pups caught back up in Lynnhaven Inlet, but that has ceased now as well.

Croaker can still be caught here and there on squid and shrimp, but did not hear that much on the croaker front this week.

Did hear of two Blue Blitz's along the beaches of Dam Neck (gotta have a base ID) and False Cape/Sandbridge. I have not been able to confirm them, but I would say it happened. Blues should start to show around here anytime now, so get your Gotcha Plugs ready my friends!

I know some flounder and togs are being picked up by boats along the CBBT!

That's all I got this week, hopefully next week the trout will be back!!!!

Thanks for the info. Nice talkking to ya today. Give m a yell next time you head out. With the new job no more long hours. Should get home around 5:30. Earlier if I want to go in earlier Since I am working on the other side of the tunnel I will have to hit the James River Bridge, Fort Monroe etc... I will let you know when the action over there heats up.
