SPANISH MACKERAL OFF CAPE HENRY

Had a Bay trip for fathers day with a couple from Richmond with there 2 small kids, Got a report on sat that there were some spanish macs caught at sandbridge so I thought we would try cape henry first thing, and it didn't take long for us to put 2 spanish in the box, Then Jamie comes up to the tower and tells me that they want to go bottom fishing, uh ok, so we leave fish to go find fish and headed over to the highrise on the CBBT. First fish was a toad, and as soon as Jamie gets her rebaited and drops overboard , BAM , a nice fat 20in flattie for the box, then dad gets a short flattie that gets released with a nice new tag in it, blues show up all around the boat busting little glass minnows , we cast to them for awhile and go try a couple other spots and end up back off cape henry doing what we started but no more spanish just blues, Lines in at 3:30 and back to the dock for some pics and cleanup,A very nice day on the water. Jamie is a natural with the kids, I think he missed his calling, He will now be known as a Certified PRO HO. I will post pics later, I have to resize them.
