The USCG rescued five disoriented persons in a 28' Bayliner near the Bay Bridge over the weekend. The boat had no operable marine radio and no GPS. Location was made in cooperation with the cell company in triangulating their signal from the one working cell phone on board. The persons were taken aboard and the boat towed in. No medical concerns.
Another rescue made by USCG was from a 72' barge 14 miles off Cape May, NJ that was taking on water. Two persons were lifted and the barge towed in commercially.
