If you plan to yak out baits, lose the seat.
I had mine in first paddle out and discovered it gets in the way when you are trying to get back in after getting dumped.
My second paddle out was minus the seat and it made it much easier to get back in.
You can attach a D-ring to the little plastic loop behind the seat to hold your line in the yak while paddling.
I just fold mine down and sit on the back instead of taking it off. Its not as comfortable but you're only in it for a few minutes and comfort really isn't a concern as you are charging the outter break.
