    Default Rod Question

I am looking at getting a Rainshadow SU1418F. Can anyone give me a review of its performance...I have the RS SUR1385F and I love it. Any input will help. Thanks

i tried out the All star version of that blank when I first started looking at custom rods.

I plan to build the rainshadow version very soon.

It perfect for throwing 3 to 6 oz weights for kings/spot/croaker/blues and etc in the summer time. Also good for flounder dragging tandem bucktails across the bottom.

I throw 5 ounces with the rod...5 ounces seems to be the sweet spot for me. Very good all around rod...from reds to kingfish. Its nice to have a rod that loads with less then 8 once in a while. This rod gets it done nicely.

I have a sur1385f that I throw 5oz. with and I think that I am going to give it a try. I have heard nothing but great things about the 1418f..
