Mono to Braid, new knot?

Great knot, holds just fine but it's a PITA to tie unless you're sitting at home. On the boat I used to double the braid and then tie a uni to uni, but as of late I have been using a pair of surgeons knots in the braid and joining the mono via a bristol/no name knot or what ever else you want to call it.
