Active Angler Casting or spinning What is the difference between a casting rod and a spinning rod?

Active Angler The main difference between the rods is the first eye on a spinning rod the eyelet is larger to allow to line to come off a spinning reel ( the line on a spinning reel comes off in a twisting motion ) with a conventional rod the eyelet is smaller since the line comes off more in a straight line from the reel. Hope that helps.
