Is superline really necessary? If I plan on doing mostly bay & surf fishing, is it worth the investment? Need some help here guys.
Thanks.

Sufix Tritanium is the only line you will need. (well maybe some 50lb mono for shock(casting) leader!
I will use braid(superline) when throwing plugs. Its nice to have that feel when plugging. Not to mention you can use a smaller reel so you don't get worn out after a long night of throwing plugs or Jigging.

I bought a Penn 950 SSm recently. Will Superline be worth the investment, since I already spooled the reel with Stren Blood Red 30 Lb. test?
I hate to ask stupid questions, but I haven't been fishing in 25 years or more.
Thanks for any help you might provide.![]()
I haven't had any experience with Superline, but I do know that Suffix Tritanium is hard to beat! I have put some SERIOUS pressure on 17lb test and it was tough to break. One thing I have noticed is the green suffix seemed a bit weaker.![]()
