    Question Claw Sinkers

    Hey anybody ever use these. Found them on eBay looks like they might hold pretty good

    I've seen them used on the beach before. They look like they would hold well.

    I wouldn't use them without a barrel attached though.....
    Look interesting, seen them but haven't tried them.
    Will have to give 'em a go.

    They had them at Gander last year, bought some 12's and 14's for beach sharking,,,went back there this summer and they didnt have any in stock,,,really liked the sinker for sharking.

    Ibet they would hold great, looking forward to your report Erby. if they work well I like them better than the sputnicks, looks like less tangling.

    I picked up a couple at Gander Mtn the other day, I'm leaving in 6 hours for Hatteras to test them out.

    Finally got around to trying the claws they did not seem to be any worse or better that the other varities We were in a moderate surf Monday night by the walkover

    that's about the same as I feel about them. I switch to using mostly frog tongues and have had better holding power with them then most sinkers.

    Yeah, those frog tongues sure do hold.
    They hold while you are trying to bring in an empty hook too....
    It's like dragging an anchor in.

    yep that's ture when you let them sit too long, I just hope that it's a fish is on the other end... but as I've said the work the best..

    After the red drum tourney, the frog tounge will be my go to weight....I was holding with 6 FT, when a 8-10 pyramid or hurricaine just ended up on the beach....
