Boga Grip
So, I am thinking about getting one to use on the beach and from a boat. I know several people who use them, but if you look at some of the different brands they have big teeth on them to hold the fish. Do you think these would harm the fish in any what if I plan to C&R? It'd be nice to beach the fish and grab it, remove the hook and get a weight all in one movement allowing the fish to get back in the water quicker. Anyone have opinions on this? Notice the Rapala model's teeth that the boga grip doesn't have.....One appears to just pinch, where the other appears to wedge itself.

Jeff, I just bought the rapala last week,,,they should not harm the fish and make it easy for a quick weigh and release,,,I think its far better for the fish using one of the tools above to pick the fish up rather than grabbing it by its gill plates, or picking it up and holding it in your arms and against your body (protective slime). I don't think it's necessary to use one for a good release, but they are nice to have giving the fish some added insurance for survival and for a quick weigh.

I have the smaller Rapala one, it works just fine
I have no issues injuring fish that I know of(they never complained)
also its nice to have the hand scale built in, not sure if they all have that feature
